HAMMER Contents Page Analysis

HAMMER
The contents page of Hammer appears to be visually busy. Rock and heavy metal is known for being unpredictable, loud and busy, which I'm assuming is why the contents page of Hammer magazine is so clustered.
The masthead of the magazine itself is included above the contents title, I'm assuming this is to take up some of the white space at the top left-hand side of the page and keep the cluttered image.
The colours used are dark, which is appropriate, keeping the genre of the music the magazine specialises in in mind. You wouldn't use light colours, like pink and yellow for a heavy-metal magazine, because it would make no sense whatsoever.
